TBM Solution defines reworking as any labour undertaken to modify, group together or repurpose stock. Reworking encompasses instance such as repacking, relabelling (Kitting) or assembling individual SKU's into groups to be sold together under the one partner?master SKU (Bundles).
Reworks are charged at a man-hour. Therefore, a time in motion study is generally required to be undertaken to guage an estimate of time needed to complete the rework and the subsequent cost. If you would like a time in motion study and quotation price, please contact the Client services team (CS) to request this.
Where the stock is already in our warehouse, an order must be manually created. This allows the items to be moved from D2C stock levels and prevent the stock from being sent out in customers orders. An ASN must then be raised to reallocate this stock to your request rework.
In some instances, we may not be holding the stock you wish to be reworked in our warehouse. If this is the case please inform our Client services team before raising the ASN. This allows us to relay this information to the warehouse that we are expecting an inbound order of stock specifically allocated to a rework, preventing it from being inbounded and allocated to B2C orders.
Process
- Stage 1 - Requesting a quotation (24hr SLA)
Before a rework is carried out, we recommend contacting our client services team to request a time in motion study. Once this is complete we can give you a quotation based on the man hour that will be required to complete your request.
- Stage 2 - Create an order (when stock is in our warehouse only)
Once you've accepted your quote a manual order, with the SKU's needed for the rework must be created on MYTBMHUB. This is necessary as it removes these products from D2C allocation and assigns them to your rework request.
NOTE: If an order is not raised the stock will continue to be used to fulfil your D2C orders.
- Stage 3 - Item setup (If new SKU is needed)
If your completed rework requires a new products code (i.e a new bundle), you will need to set up the new SKU on MYTBMHUB. Please see section 4a - Creating a new product.
- Stage 4 - ASN (Advanced shipping notice)
Finally, you will need to raise an ASN. This should include the new SKU's corresponding to the stock that will be available once the rework is complete.
Example: If a rework requires Product A and Product B to be grouped together, to create Product C. The ASN must include the new SKU attached to the bundle (Product C)
Please refer to Section 5c - Creating an ASN.
The ASN must include the following attachments:
- Rework Instructions
- Client PO (Necessary to provide invoice)
- Rework Quotation
Please refer to Section 5b - Managing an ASN.
NOTE: In the event a quotation isn't attached, the accounts will bill based on the hours input by the warehouse on the ASN.
